... suddenly and unexpectedly, I'm afraid. The obituary will run in the Toronto Star and Sudbury Star. Can't say when, if ever, I'll be able to blog again, so this may be goodbye.
About quitting the blog: while sorting my dad's papers, I found a few sporadic journal entries. My dad was a stoic, reticent man, so it was a surprise to discover that he actually willingly wrote down his most private thoughts and musings. I decided that I should do the same, i.e. start journalling - on treeware and in long-hand - rather than keeping this rather superficial blog. It somehow helps me make sense of his death. Perhaps when I'm gone, my kids will get something they're looking for from my journals, just as I get tiny glimpses of who my dad really was through his words.
Although I'll no longer be blogging, I'll still be reading *your* blogs, so I'll be around. Thanks for reading mine all this time.
I am so sorry... Sorry for your loss, and sorry that it took me so long to realize that you had gone missing from the blogosphere. I for one will truly miss reading your blog, and I will especially miss you amazingly creative patterns. I can understand why you would want to take a step back from this forum, and I respect that, but please know that we all still are thinking of you and wishing that you were here, crafting, writing, and sharing those gifts with the world.
