Pouches and Vinyl

I needed a camera bag, so on Monday evening I made this bird wristlet. I was going for a handmade folk-art look. Sewn into the lining is a loop for attaching to the camera strap. That way, as long as the bird is around my wrist, if I drop the camera it won't hit the ground. When I hold the camera to take photos, the bird dangles from my wrist - the embroidery makes sense in that context.




Here is another wristlet I made out of felt and recycled materials (zipper, lining, strap). It's a mah-jongg tile. This one is going to my big sister.


Yesterday I made a quick trip to Value Village for vinyl records to make these bowls.
