It's Cold Outside, but Toasty Inside

One pair of cosy socks is done.


And, just to humour the spouse ("Why haven't you blogged about my stove?"), here is why we haven't had to turn on the heat yet.


We have a gate and screen around the stove to keep the kids safe. The kettle on top, filled with ground cinnamon and water, keeps the air from getting too dry, and makes the place smell like cookies. The ingenious little fan, which runs off the heat from the top, blows the warm air throughout the house.
