Ducklings and Pirates

I knitted these two ducklings at the request of a friend. The pattern is from Jean Greenhowe's Knitted Animals booklet.



Body and head knitted bottom-up in one piece.



Wings knitted separately and sewn on. The beak and feet were supposed to be knitted, but I didn't like the way they turned out, so I substituted machine-sewn felt ones.

The boys have been sewing too. They each got a Captain Jack Sparrow toy from their crappy meals, and wanted to make crew to accompany it.
