Milk 'n' Cookies

I finished my new granny knitting bag. It has a milk and cookies theme.

It goes nicely with my Chips Choy! note pad, yes?

Here is a close-up of the knitted cookie keychain, and the glass-o-milk patch.

I remember my mom used to make patches from fabric motifs when we were little. I modified her method. She would cut out the motif, place it on stiff interfacing, then zigzag around the outside of the motif with a sewing machine. I cut out the motif with a border, turned the raw edges inward, and sewed it to a piece of felt which I then zigzagged around.

Here is the lining. I've already filled the bag with knitting supplies.

This is the first cookie I made. It was originally supposed to be a button for closing the bag, until I decided that it didn't really need a closure. This particular cookie was too big anyway.

We're pig-sitting Harry for the weekend while my sister is out of town. Harry used to be my oldest child's pet, until he developed allergies. It's actually a female pig, but it was named after my son's best friend at the time.
