Ninja Bunny and Art Work

To thank Sensei Mark for the karate Halloween party, we made him a ninja bunny. At the end of the party, someone in a pink rabbit costume wearing a dogi with a yellow belt appeared and introduced herself as the Ninja Bunny. The Bunny threw out treats out to the kids, in the manner of the Easter Bunny, and the kids all scrambled to collect the goodies.

I was looking at all the boys' art work we have displayed around the house, and thought I'd post about that. I've always liked kids' art, so to me, one of the benefits of having children is finally getting good stuff with which to decorate the walls. The pictures below are a fraction of what we have exhibited.

This is a self-portrait by the older boy, and a farm scene by the younger one. I like the eyebrows on the self-protrait (very like his own expressive brows), and the farm scene gets a special place because of the prominence of the sheep, which happens to be my zodiac sign.

This is another self-portrait by the same boy, and a Mother's Day card by the younger one.

This is a whole bunch of stuff made by the older boy when he was in Kindergarten. Note the similar Mother's Day card - I love having variations on a theme!

The clock on the left was made by the younger child. The clock on the right and the family tree were made by the older one. Again, we see variations on a theme.

Here's a guy we call, the Happy Noodle Juggler, made by the older one, circa last year.

This is our Wall of Turkeys. The top and bottom ones were made by the younger one, and the middle two are by the older one.

This is the older one's private collection in his bedroom, attached to his bulletin board.

Every door is covered with art. The top piece is an amusing illustrated story by the older one, and below that, Humpty Dumpty by the younger one.
