Knitting Bear
After receiving Bittersweet's crocheted bunny, I marvelled at how tiny her stitches are compared to mine. I figured it was because I didn't have the proper sized crochet hooks. I've avoided getting hooks smaller than 3.5 mm, because I dislike holding metal hooks (also metal knitting needles), and hooks that small only come in metal. Happily, Clover makes small hooks with a cushioned, non-metally grip, so I picked up some on Saturday.
To test the new hooks, I started off making the cro-bot in Craft magazine, but I didn't have silver yarn in my odd-ends bin, so I switched mid-way and turned it into a bear, borrowing Bittersweet's idea to make it into a knitting bear.

While out shopping for crochet hooks, I stopped by the Japanese market and picked up a knitting magazine, Keito Dama, from the Let's Knit series (ISSN 4529042227).

On the bright side, you don't have to know the language to knit the items, as everything is charted. On the downside...

Yes, that's a whole sweater, charted. Yeesh.
