Knitting, Seeing Friends, Still Going to Aikido, But Not Blogging
I've been spending nearly all my spare time knitting and doing other things rather than updating my blog, so here is an overdue update.
There was enough of that twenty-six dollar skein of yarn left over for me to make a pair of armwarmers and a headband. I don't like armwarmers that cover the palms because mine tend to get clammy, but I do like having something covering my forearms when I'm wearing three-quarter length (or shorter) sleeves.

This project was born of necessity. I needed a strap cushion for my bag, and wanted one that matched my robot purse charm - plus orange is one of my favourite colours.

This is a felted bag I made with the handspun yarn I blogged about. The yarn was a joy to work with. I whipped up and felted the bag in two afternoons.

Here's a Christmas present I've just finished for one of the kids: an aikidoka bear based on designer Jess Hutchison's "Henry Bear" pattern. Of course, I'll be casting on soon for a second bear, a karateka for the other child.

This is my sister's puppy, Panda, visting us on Saturday, camouflaged in a bean bag chair.

Speaking of visits, later that evening, we had a rare treat. We went out to dinner with RG and his girlfriend OS, sisters MG and HG, and yet another former aikidoka, TT. Everyone but TT came back and hung around for a few hours, but had to retire early because MG had to work the next morning.
Okay, back to knitting bears...
